My Landis+Gyr E350 smart meter has a P1 RJ45 socket. The Toon meteradapter and cable are RJ11. Is it possible to make an RJ11 to RJ45 adapter cable and if so, how should the pinout/connection be?

Would a straight connection using pins 2 to 5 on the RJ45 work? Any ideas?

Re: Smart Meter P1 Pinout RJ11 to RJ45
RJ45 has 8 pins. What you describe for your meter are the normal RJ12 (6p6c) connections for a DSMR 4.0 or later meter. These are compatible with the earlier RJ11 (6p4c) pinout. The extra pins only provide power and their use is optional. Toon doesn't use them. This means you can just plug the RJ11 cable that came with the Toon into your smart meter.
