bug in C2/H2 implementation?

GW firmware 5.4 @P16F88
OTmonitor 6.1 @Linux-armhf

I would like to switch off both circuit of central heating. So I do the following command:
CS=19
CH=0
C2=19
H2=0

but the result is, that CS is reset (set back to 0)

Hmm, it can be somewhere else.
Command (via websocket from 192.168.111.203:53656): CS=19 always ends with "timeout", but is executed. It is also very strange.
I guess that OTGW stops sending CS value do boiler. See log @07:39:51.233557

See the changelog for version 5.2, which states: "Limit the validity of a CS command. A remotely set control setpoint expires after just over a minute. This is a safety feature to prevent runaway heating when the controlling program loses its connection, or crashes."

This deserves to be mentioned in the description of the CS command too. I will update that.

But the subject of your post refers to C2. Is your complaint that the C2 command doesn't have the same timeout? I may look into adding that.

I see! Thank you, it is clear now.
I think that CS and C2 should behave in the same way, so yes, the same timeout should be apply for C2 as well. And customization of the timeout should be nice too. I guess that one minute timeout is too short (I would like to use cron to run the script that will do the decision about setpoint setting).

Why CS command executed via web (http://192.168.111.44:8080/command?CS=19) return "timeout" instead of CS=19?

Due to the limited resources available in the PIC, the CS command shares its timeout timer with the SC (set clock) command. Either of these commands will reset the timer. For the SC command, only a timeout of 1 minute makes sense. That's why the CS command also ended up with a timeout of 1 minute.

The timeout is actually 62.9 seconds (due to available pre- and postscaler options). So running your script via cron every minute should be fine.

I have committed a fix for the CS response from the web API in git. Thanks for reporting the issue.
