OTGW messages

Post by cjThirteen »

Hi,

Just purchased the Nodo-Shop OpenTherm Gateway and impressed with both the quality and service from the shop. I now have it connected in to my system (Honeywell T6R/Vitodens 100-W) and can see the messages using OpenTherm monitor program, but I need to operate it over the Network along with Node-RED.

I have a very basic flow to receive the messages, but now I need to decode them. I can decode the message number and value, but I am not having much luck with the rest of the message...

Message: B40193600 Class 4 - sensor & Informational Data
B(?) 1000 0000 00011001 0011011000000000
11001 011011000000000
4 25 54
Having trouble resolving the 'B' (or whatever letter (B/R/T...)

Is there a list of the messages presented by OTGW firmware available somewhere please?

Any other pointers gratefully received.

TIA,
hvxl

The message format is explained on the OTGW web site.

Sincere apologies!

I had read that page along with the Protocol V2.2 many times and completely missed it each time! I think I was probably too focused on the actual messages.

I now have a flow that breaks out Source, Parity, Msg type, and Data.

Thank you!
