Hi all, i received my serial-server!. it's a TIBBO http://www.tibbo.com/ds202.php and it works perfectly with cm11a with serial cable. i took 4 hours lo let it work. there so many configuration options and i don't understand them. Do you , all domotica boss, agree if i post some screeenshoots just to understand what are this device features and what could be , eventually, modified to enhance its performance with Homeseer?
it really works great! all status changes are detected immediatly, even with some devices that , with usb cable, were detected randomly
cheers, lorenzo

One thing i'd like to try is UDP broadcast, i saw that somewhere. That could mean you can recieve the data on multiple clients i'd say.

Next question will be if this also allowes multiple clients to talk to the thing... i guess not, but who am i.

Tomorrow i'll try UDP, today i tried everything i was going crazy, but i had may be the good idea: on wizard i choosed DHCP ip assign, router gave ip address to serial-server but ther was non communication with HS, then i tried to force static ip, with other settings together, then in a few seconds it was working. So i must do a step by step to understand every single setting

Homeseer needs to make it also possible that you can talk directly to TCP-IP then you don't have to install the Virtual comdriver.

ps: split and moved the topic, it was going from the Hek on the Tek [:D] Please try to keep this in mind, its for the good of the forum

Digit , please and others too, i need your HELP: today serial port wasn't working after several changes now it works, but i don't understand all the changes that i make. Could you explain me please, (referring to previous images):
1)VSP PROPRIERTIS: ROUTING MODE: options are client, server , server/client i choose client because it takes data from cm11- IS RIGHT?
2)TRANSPORT PROVIDER: options are TDI (default) , WINSOCK , ??? i choose default...
if you go in DS MANAGER, here there are settings different from the above , but IT WORKS, in fact
3) ROUTING MODE: options are server (slave) , server/client (master) , client only , i choose SERVER, but vsp is client.....
4)SERIAL PORT , BAUD RATE: many values, i use 38400, but if you look at logs, there setting on 4800,may be is speed of cm11, so is better start immediatly with 4800?

THANKS; REALLY THANKS FOR YOUR PRECIOUS SUPPORT GUYS :)
