10 year old OTGW still running, can't connect otmonitor

I bought and assembled an OTGW 10 years ago, and it still is running flawlessly :-).

I donwloaded OTmonitor because i plan to invole a MQTT broker for distributing values across my home automation, but OTmonitor won't connect over TCP. Should Otmonitor even work with a 10 year old OTGW (version 4.0b1)? Domoticz can reach it over TCP...
