Hi Chak,

Any update yet on stability of the PMIX35?

Also, did you check out the power consumption of this network USB hub?

Thanks,

Lennart

Stability with PMIX35 and Plugwise is good...did not had any problems in the last weeks.
power consumption is 2,06 watt...with 2 devices connected.

It's a standard 12 volt 2A adapter..you can combine this with other 12v devices.
I'm going to combine it with Ziggo modem and Lava Device server
I think this will bring the extra consumption almost to zero

Chak, do you mean using the same adapter for the other devices?

Yes..
I'm doing this also with some other devices.
2 Camera's and Axis 241Q are connected to the same adapter.
This will reduce the adapter overhead.

I have some 12 volt adapters that can deliver about 50 watt with very high efficiency.

With extra consumption to Zero, you mean that most adapters are consuming power even if the device attached to it is not on.

Yep..
Example
3com Switch 9 watt
Dome Camera-1 4 watt
Dome Camera-2 3 watt
Ip Video server 4 watt
Total 20 watt

After combining all togather with a new power adpeter what was more efficient total was 12 watt
12 volt 2A adapter can do the job..less adapters lower power consumption...:)

Thats a lot of difference!
Good tip, I will adjust my power supply's as well.
I will make a topic soon of all the consumers in my house.
One outcome is that if you have a lot of plugwise, Xanura, Marmitek, Plcbus or whatever it's also consuming a lot.
Almost 1 watt per device, get back to that soon with statistics.
BTW: Where did you buy the high efficient Powersupply, Conrad?

Update:

Finally found some time this weekend and have now fully tested the Belkin hub:
- DigiBee board with USB --> workes lke a charm for over 4 weeks now. Installation: No problem
- RFXcom transmittor (for harrisson curtains) --> unplugged it from my HomeSeer server, connected it to Belkin. Intstantly worked, no problems at all.
- RS232 to USB convertor for Marmitek CM 11 --> Installed the driver for the RS232 dongle, connected the dongle to the Belkin hub, immediatly recognized, re configured com port for HomeSeer --> works!

Conclusion: this is a great device that works out-of-the box!
