domotiga closing after error

Hi,
after about 8 hours, the programs closes it self after clicking ok on this error.

When you look at domotiga/logs/main-*.log does it say anything in the end?

bit a late respond, but the problem is still there, i looked at the log but it stops with no special error, am i the only one having this problem?

Maybe first update your software to the latest version, you are using an old one.

I did a "svn co

at the end its says: At revision 51.
But when i start domotiga i see version 0.1.157
i am new at this svn, should i do something more?

revision 51 is the number from svn, this does not have to have a relationship with the version 0.1.157.
if you saw some files names flying by, then it did an update. Otherwise it would say something like "allready at revision 51"

Hi,
I was a bit confused by the svn update, because it indicating its version 0.1.157. So i reinstalled the whole machine by reinstalling Ubuntu and gamba2. I used svn to install domotiga and imported the domotiga.sql and user.sql ( i also see a upgrade.sql).
I configured the rfxcom device and it is logging the power usage in this house. but again the same null object error and when i looke at main log, its exactly at the same moment as i looked to a log a few days ago.
Because the last line is "2008/12/25 18:00:00 The Time of Day is evening." again.
strange.....

Yep it happened agian today at 18:00 hours, exactly the same last line in the main log "2008/12/26 18:00:00 The Time of Day is evening."

Francis,
it seems that you have downloaded the latest code, but you are not running it, it should say version 0.1.160, so you maybe start DomotiGa from a different dir that the one you downloaded the svn to.
The version is in the .project file inside the DomotiGa dir.
Or you have to recompile it first. Open the project in gambas ide (goto the domotiga/DomotiGa dir load it and choose Project Make Executable, put it where you start your program from.
Also make sure you are using a recent Gambas 2.9 version from svn. The previous ones had problem in sockets and other parts making it unstable. I'm using rev 1710 and it is very stable here.
Which version are you using? Type svn info inside the svn 2.0/ dir.
And which linux distro do you use?
If this all doesn't help, try disabling parts of the program, like the Gmail rss part, and see if this fixes the problem. Then I can investigate this further.

Looking again at the error msg you got, it seems an sql query in the deviceds module didn't return a result, and I'm not catching this in my code.
I shall try to load the devices table you sent me earlier to see whats missing.
Unfortunately I'm having a cold, so I'm not at my best to say the least. [:(]

I did what you told me (learned something new) and yes i am now running 0.1.160. Thanks, now let see if this solves the null object problem.
Still wondering what the upgrade.sql is for.
Is this also solving the problem with adding an extra sensor for the rfxcom?

The upgrade.sql is for upgrading your database to the new version.
I have added a 3rd value to devices and plugwise modules etc.
It's best if you start with a new database (load domotiga.sql like readme says) if your domotiga version was too old.
If you have plugwise modules in your database (edit modules and groups) then look for plugwise circle, all is ok.
In a next version i will put a version number inside the database so you get alerted if your db needs upgrading.

Did you see I have created the 2 RFXPulse module types (gas and power)?
It's just so domotiga see 2 different ones.

yes i have seen them and it works without error but, (there is always a but
) value 2 (the difference between the old and the new value?) does not come up. Just like the power, so i see the total use but not usage.
