Hi,

Just bought two AMST-606 magnet contacts at 'de Gamma'.
In the receiver I selected at the tab RF interfaces the ARC option.
I placed the battery and removed the magnet. The AMST-606 is adjusted to 0m.
But:.... when I press Add in the interface tab I can't select this new component. What am I doing wrong?

Probably nothing? I have 2 of those working (without HS), but IIRC i first needed a firmware update for detecting the A-series KAKU sensors.

I bought two of these sensors and had exactly the same with one of them. Using the RFX debug tool I didn't see any packets coming in so I sent it in for repair.

The other one works fine and was recognised as "Input Device" in RFXcom.

I'll keep you posted if it was indeed deemed to be broken, or if this is a case of user error.

The AMST606 is using the AC protocol (not the ARC protocol)

Check with RFreceiver in Variable Length Mode and enable all RF protocols to see if the sensor is received.

In Homeseer enable the AC checkbox for the receiver.

I also have the KAKU magnet contact.
Didn't really install it yet as the divice is not really reliable in HS. Sometimes it receives, many times no signal...
I also have the feeling that the KAKU is the problem and I will wait for Jruys's feedback on his repair and then also send it in.
(I was going to use it on the fridge so an alarm will sound when my girlfriend leaves it open... (only 2,5 meter (and one 'gipsmuur') away from the RFXcom receiver)

JW, please keep us posted.

Checked the AC option and it's working now. Keep you informed about the reliability.
Thanks for your help and replys.

Update: The broken KAKU sensor I mentioned before was replaced by their service department, a new one was shipped to me on 30-Jan.

[edit] and it works.
