Reading remote actions with the CM11 and software

It seems like something basic, but I can't find it anywhere.
I've got some problems programming my Xanura GIX and I want some nice macro's ;)

The GIX is a real problem and I'm trying to get it to work for a few months now...

I got a CM11 and it works fine to control my modules.
But now I want to read the signals send by the remote control and the GIX. So I can test a little and hopefully find the problem.

I’ve tried a few programs (ie activehome, zeus and x10controller) and they all have a log file, but they only list the actions send by the software.

Is it possible to view actions send by a remote or GIX?
If it is possible, what software do I need?

if you want I can write you a service which logs the received powerline signals (housecode, unitcode and function) on the CM11.

Check my project on http://domotica.computercity.be

That would be great!
Nice project and website btw ;)

Any help would be great of course, but isn't this a basic function?
I mean aren’t there any programs that have this functionality build in standard?

You can try to use the RFtransmitter program http://www.rfxcom.com/documents/RFtransmitter.zip

This is a program developed to work with the RFXCOM transmitters and this program has also a CM11 compatible communication mode.
Note: The standard RFXCOM transmitter doesn't have the CM11 protocol. The CM11 transmitter is no longer in the catalogue but is still available on special request.

1. connect the CM11 to your system
2. start the RFtransmitter program
3. connect (button top-left) the CM11
4. in Mode select, click one of the CM11 buttons
5. select the CM11 cmd's tab

To check if the communication is OK:
1. select an X10 address you want to activate,
2. click the Xmit address button
3. click On or Off

A lot of buttons don't work with the CM11 because they are dedicated for use with the RFXCOM transmitter.
The buttons: Disable KlikAan-KlikUit, Disable Koppla, Disable X10 RF, Xmit continously and Get transmitter version are for the RFXCOM transmitter and must not be used with a CM11 connected!

What exactly do you mean with this?
I downloaded the program and all the CM11 buttons are in.
Do you mean I should request some extra software to make it work with the CM11?

Unfortunately I'm not at home, so I can't test the software.

The RFtransmitter software is developed for 2 type of RFXCOM RF transmitter. The standard and the CM11 RF transmitters.

I just used the RF transmitter software and I can control my lightning, so the protocol seems to be ok. But I still can't read the signals I send with the remote control?

Should I use the RF receiver software (I tried that, but it didn't work) or is my CM11 defect?

which device receives the RF commands?? Do have have an RF receiver plugged in like a TM13?
When you have a lamp module connected directly on the CM11, does the lamp switch on and off when you activate that module with an RF remote?

I've got 5 Marmitek LW12, 1 Marmitek SW10, 1 Xanura GIX, 1 Marmitek Easy Control 8, 1 Marmitek CM11(serieel) and 1 Marmitek TM13.

The LW12, SW10 and TM13 are all in the living room.
The GIX is in the hallway.
The CM11 is connected to a server in the 'electrical closet' (meterkast :p).

I can use the remote and the CM11 to control the lights.
Both work fine.

BTW it's a 'small' house.

Hi Han,

The Serial Port Monitor function in Zeus only reports the signals I send with Zeus to the CM11. It doesn't monitor the signals I send with my remote to the TM13.
