Non-dimmable CFL

Hi there,
I've got a set of non-dimmable CFLs in the kitchen. I have one or two LW12 micromodules, but they are soft-start and they dim. I've also got an AW12 which would be ideal except I live in the UK and there's no neutral connection in the light socket.
I'm considering taking apart a "socket rocket" to see if that will work, but then I won't have full local switch control. Is there a (preferably) X10 device which will work?
Thanks, Steve
