Eaton stopt XanuraHome productie
Per 1 juli stopt de productie van Xanura componenten en zal in principe worden overgegaan op draadloze sensoren en actoren. Na de integratie van Moeller was er al een gerucht dat dit zou gebeuren maar nu hebben we hiervan ook een bevestiging.

Just when I bought loads of stuff for my new house.....

Is this a reliable source? Many of us use Xanura. It would be really nasty when they stop manufacturing Xanura components.
Does anybody have a contact at Eaton/Holec that can confirm this News?

Ahhhh that's why they offered the members a PMIX and a course. I won't have a problem with that if the wireless stuff can be used within HS. It will also mean lower prices for the X10 stuff.

I am in the middle of a new setup, i cant just buy stuff now if this is real.. i would have to buy all stuff again if wireless comes (assuming it is better) but then we need a date when the new stuff will come.

I did a quick search on the HS board. Can't find any Moeller articles. If this is true we can't buy any Xanura stuff in a couple of months and there is no (Eaton/Holec) alternative for HS-users!
Let's get the official announcement before we start to panic.....

I prefer wired above wireless. So I hope Eaton doesn't stop with it.

funny thing is that i ask the guy (pedro) during the training (03-06-2009)if the zigbee modules would have any effect on xanura. he stated that they would coexist together. Furthermore i ask suppose eaton stops selling xanura how long would there be replacements. He stated that parts would be on stock during 10 jears because of goverment rules.

10 years is for service purposes, not for new selling. In the Dutch law they have to be able to garanty service for 10 years.

You're right :( . The 10 years indeed for service purposes. Let's wait for response of eaton.

@Pieter/Enver: I would guess that Marcel knows this if it is true?

BTW, i cant imagine they will stop shortly: "Nieuwe ZAX12 beschikbaar v.a. 9 juni
ZAX12, de kleinste zonweringsactor." On the other hand, it will be a management decision.

Or we can call one of these guys: http://www.et-installateur.nl/mensennew.asp

The XComfort products are responding to an USB (or RS232) interface (productcode CKOZ-00/03) which is connected to the Home Control Box. It shouldn't be that hard to reverse engineer it, or would it?

Hmmm, I wanted to order quite a few modules for our new house, next week. I think I have to wait till everything is clear. But Eaton introduced there new range modules not to long ago, so is this just a rumour?? Me and a lot of others I think, let's hope it is a bad joke.
