Ziggo Cable Internet 50MB down 5 up

Ruud,
Thats possible.
Signal from the ziggo box is normal PSTN
just use y-cable that came with your Fritzbox for connectivity.

Damn Linksys [:(!] , i used the BEFSR41 V2 router for years, the V1 has a 10/100 wan port and so has all other versions EXCEPT the one i have!
Mine has a 10 Mbit port, so that explains the speed limit [:I] . There is no manual who mention this.
Today my new router arrived and speeds went up.

Slim change as far as I can gather from this(Dutch):
http://www.pseiko.nl/blog/295/cisco-voi ... -telefonie
Seems comparable to the alica solution(VoDSL) but translated to the Cableworld, don't even know if technically it's voip..

I'm still waiting for a new modem to get the speed (50/5) i pay for. The Ziggo-Forum has lots of post from people like me.

The are also a number of complaints about the stability of the Docsys3 modems, how are your experiences

BTW, why is this post in English ???

@Pieter: My connection stabilized after a week. Now I don't see any drops. Fast and stable as before (<knock on wood>)

Ziggo replaced my ubee modem for a arris modem. To much drop outs of the signal, there is a problem with channelbundeling
The ubee is a better 8 channel modem and ready for the next speed update 80 MB but the firmware is not good.Ziggo claims that Ubee Will not change there firmware
The arris is a 4 channel modem and 50mb is the limit, but with a good firmware.
This means that when there is a update of speed everybody Will get a another modem (Motorola docis 3)
Ubee user watch your speed when you are downloading with newsleecher it stick at 2 MB with arris 5mb

I changed from KPN to Ziggo about a month ago, got a new cable modem... but there was no brand name anywhere. Absolutely no idea what the brand is or anything! But then I changed again to the alles in een extra. Ziggo then again sent me a new modem, I haven't opened it yet, but all i know is its a Motorola.

Any idea of the other modem brand/model?
And will I need to swap the modems when the alles-in-een extra starts on saturday 7th? The older modem has has the telephone ports as VoIP1 and VoIP 2... but the Motorola has the no mention of VoIP. Just two 'normal' phone jacks.

The UBEE looks likle this from the side:
.___
/___/
The dot's there because of forum formatting...
The Arris has it's name on the top.
Never seen the motorola, but hey, you got that one already.
Dunno if you need to swap the modem, you probably should activate with the activiation-codes.

Well the modem is shaped more like:
______
l______\

Its weird, there is no brand name on it.
The Motorola is only DOCSIS 2.0, when will DOCSIS 3.0 be available soon.
Yeah I activated the old modem, got that up and running fine. Just not sure wether or not i need to swap.
