I have a Vera (zwave) HC. i want to put my coffee machine (philips Senseo) on when i go out of bed[:D]. only problem is. it uses a push button to go on. i there a solution to create an extra (small) trigger to control this?
thanks

I don't think there really is a cookie-cutter solution for this. You could go 3 routes:
-The elaborate one: build something with a servo motor that pushes the button triggered by something like Homeseer.
-The dangerous one: find a way to short the button or mount a momentary relais somewhere in there.
-The easiest one: buy another coffe-machine

Yes with the classic coffee makers no problem - just put the plug in a timerclock or in your case an actor and turn the device on. It was usefull because coffee making took at least 10 minutes and the coffee stayed warm.
Often when domotica is explained this application is mentioned as the most usefull application - but hardly being implemented. In the past you had coffeemakers with a buildin timer - didnt see them anymore
With Senseo it is different because of the push buttons ..... you may use the same setup and use tape to keep the on/off pushbutton and the 1 or 2 cup pushbutton pushed in..... and put just enough water in the reservoir !! to prevent an overflow.
Alternative is to open the Senseo and solder wires on the push buttons - likely you will need two actors with relais and generate two short close contacts.
Third alternative .. get Lego Mindstorm and build a Senseo push button robot .... it would be an impressive construction.
Fourth alternative if you have a dog get him/her trained .....
Fifth alternative launch heavy steel balls and drop them on the push buttons (helling baan)
But with the short processing time of Senseo it doesn't make any sense(o) to automate it also it is getting cold quickly and most people want coffee at their bed
So why dont you take a small coffee maker for two cups - load it with water and coffee connect it to an actor - and place it near your bed (nachtkastje) ... so you can reach it without getting out of bed .... you may consider to connect it to your alarm clock like i do with the X10 MT10 device.

Just buy an espresso machine with timer ( such as Jura )
1) You have for the next time good coffee.
2) you don't have to tweak any thing and just enjoy you're coffee.

i dont drink coffee, but i have one too. If people come over, it is fired up and ready to go in less then a minute or so? Why automate for such a small amount of time?

Sounds like a job for the IP-Power, just add 2 wires for the 'power' button and have them switched by the IP-Power.

Yes it is possible to use IP power but also an on/off actor with a 230V relais with double contacts will do the job.
So turn on the actor, relais will close - contact 1 - hold the power pushbutton bypass and contact 2 either the one cup or two cup button bypass. Do some timing because the actor should be off when the machine makes the coffee .. otherwise it will continue. Do some manual testing before like it did just.
So time to hack.... so open a senseo coffemaker and see how easy it is to solder wires across the push contacts .... get the wires outside and connect it to the relais.....
By the way search on Internet - there is hacking information on how to change the timing in getting stronger of weaker coffee .. in the old machines it was a matter of a turn pot.meter ! You may automate this feature to ....
Be aware of 230V and water so take care of isolation ..otherwise it may end in a shocking experience
show the pictures please !! Henk

Just a question how hard is it to have some feedback from leds that are on or flashing on a coffeemachine in a ippower ?
Else it could be be nice to have a feedback signal form status leds on the machine.
