Although I can read German very well and am quite familiar with electronics, hooking up a simple switch to operate my newly installed sunscreen took longer than expected. It are the easy things that make it complicated ...
For those of you replacing the sunscreen switch with a Duwi Z-wave enabled one, a photograph. The upper white (4-wire) cable is the cable coming from the sunscreen, the lower (3-wire) cable is the connection to the mains.

Mains Screen Duwi

N (blue) N (blue) N
L (brown) L + COM (use a short (brown) wire, see picture)
BROWN 1
BLACK 2
The green/yellow coloured wires should be connected directly to each other (It connects the sunscreen's metal chassis to ground).

Please I do not recommand putting 2 wires in one connector, you can better use a Wago for that and use short wire to connect to the device.

@ezHome: The Wago does not really work with stranded wires like the wires used in the sunscreen.
@Chak: Found that picture too, but there was no labling on the wires and the wire 'PE' did not seem to be connected anywhere except the motor, so I got confused.

nice think about this device is that you can control any voltage motor
It cost me also some hours to get it work.
the picture in the documentation is bit to small to see it clear.

Merten can not control other voltages to the motor, this is why you can use the Duwi for other applications (low and high voltage).
The Merten supports a wind measurement what can upper your screens in case of hard wind. (this is optional)
And again the Merten are two devices what makes it more expensive.
Let's make z-wave EZ

There are wago kind of connectors, grey with a orange lever that are suitable for stranded and solid wires.

So i assume JFN is using the merten to get the optional wind measurement, otherwise the Duwi would be a cheaper option..

Which sunscreen do you use with the Duewi switch?
What is important for the sunscreen?
Best regards Wim
