I personaly prefer this wall mount 8" panel,
available with FCDomus
(and because it includes the FieldCommander software,
it is available with support for KNX/EIB, EnOcean
and soon X10) and depending on you interest perhaps
in the near future even with support for HP's domotica modules ;-)
For more info:http://www.cer.com/download/fc4108.pdf
But... I don't have an open opnion, because
I already played with FCDomus...

With best domotica regards,

Is any price information available for both products?

I'm thinking about to use my Asus R2H tablet pc as wall display.

Hi Chak,
I Agree, thinking about such an option as well, much more flexible, equiped with wifi, bluetooth etc, run all the programs you want.

Cant really put that in a wall.. and it gets warmer, and is faster broken then a model that is designed as a wall built (i would think) besides that the asus does look nice. (750 euro new) (510 euro's in poortugal on ebay)

a thin client + touchscreen is cheaper second hand.. (and bigger screen) i dont need wifi anyway, since i allready need to give it power, i can just aswell give it utp. Same for bluetooth.. a browser is enough.

Does anyone on the forum has a wallmounted touchscreen or something?

I have a Asus
when i select the economy mode the power usage is so low that the fan never will turn on.
on marktplaats.nl there is every week few of them..for about 300 euro.
I have BT and WIFI on my device but also Rj45 lan...the best is go for the cable.
At the moment I use the Asus in my car for watching video's

I agree with Erik thin client with wall display is a better solution.
If there was a wall display with thin client build in(smart display) and the price was about 300 euro.....

http://www.rlc.com/Computer_Boards.htm also something like that.. dont know the prices in total.. there is a price sheet.

Ipronto? I know what you mean, but its no longer on philips website right?

http://www.delmation.nl/cermate/cermate_index.htm GX084 800 euro's 8 inch, windows CE. (also for wall mount)

http://www.chippc.com/thin-clients/jack-pc/index.asp <- also nice thin client.. but you still need a screen.. (and you want it in the wall not stick out off)

For touchscreens only.. check out:

http://www.a1touchsolution.nl/Inbouw%20 ... itoren.htm

You can have a nice screen for 400 euro's.. still need a pc though.. but its getting cheaper while surfing :)

I've got 4 of them now. Yes, a bit too much of a good thing, but that means I've got a spare one to experiment on: Instead of running Windows CE with build Internet Explorer, Remote Desktop client and ICA client I'd rather have it running Linux with a X-Server.
Here's my earlier post on them and how to upgrade them:

I know a guy who sell these clients for 55 Euro a piece, used. A pretty good deal I think. Don't wait for the touch screen version; They're very rare.

What software are you guys running on your displays? And if it's an RDP client, what are you running within that session? I have had my terminals log onto the HomeSeer webpages, but I find the possibilities a bit disappointing, cosmetically.
