Hi Bwired,
What kind of wireless sensors do you use to see if someone has opened the fridge door or has been to the toilet ???
Thanks,
Rien

I'm interested to! Which sensor do you use and how is it communicating with your main system?
wireless sensor
Hi,
I use several sensors for reading the status of my devices.
If I have no power outlet available or the sensor is to much in sight then I use wireless. I have now wireless sensors for toilet status and some for door sensors. For the wireless sensors I simply use the Xanura BSX1 motion sensor which is completely the same as the Marmitek MS13. This motion sensor has also a dusk/dawn sensor. I did some modifications to the sensor. I replaced the CDS1 sensor (dusk/dawn) with a simple reed switch and a 1K resistor in series. When the switch is closed, simulates a DAWN (X10 OFF) condition. When the switch is open, simulates a DUSK condition (X10 ON). The BSX1 or the MS13 are working on batteries which last for a year, It's very easy to hide the sensor so it can not be seen. Another advantage is that the motion sensor is still working, so you have motion and a read switch.

If I have a power outlet available and I need to read multiple status information like the wash dryer or heating device I use the Xanura AIX http://www.bwired.nl/images/how/AiX.pdf. The AIX has 4 potential free switches with according X10/A10 addresses which can be used for status.
For the exact devices I use check my real time device status page http://www.bwired.nl/Devices.asp
