Nemef Radaris Evolution electronic doorlock for Bwired

Post by Bwired »

Last years I have been testing all kind of electronic locks but I did not found one which was solid and easy to use for the whole family.
Last week Nemef installed the Radaris Evolution electronic door lock in the Bwired house.
My family is using the Radaris for a week now and they all see the benefits of this lock. With Domotica it's important that the whole family can work with it!
The Radaris is installed together with a new multi-point (3) lock (Nemef 5100 series).

I have the Radaris Evolution with remote controllers, RFid keys and RF-ID cards, It's also possible to still control the lock with your current key.
So I can open the lock with the RFID tag by holding it in front of the Mifare RFID (13.56 MHz) reader of the lock, a green or red light will blink for access or NO access. The door will stay unlocked for 5 seconds. With the small solid 3 key remote I can unlock the the lock for 10 seconds. These remotes are also equiped with RFid, so holding the remote in front of the RFID reader will also unlock :)
The lock comes in various version, I have set my lock so that once you have closed the door you always need to unlock it, even from the inside! this setup is easy if you have little children.

The Radaris is not really opening the complete lock, it's simple unlocking it so you can open the mulipoint lock by hand with the pulling the doorknob down.
You can close the door and the door won't open anymore, to put it on night lock (multi point lock) you have to pull the doorknob up.
So you can't set the lock automatic in night-lock. But personally that is what I like and I think this is much more save to use.

Youtube movie where you can see the different way's to open the door. In the movie you also see the remote RFID reader NE39 which I'm using also to open my door from the inside out. The normal RFID reader is standard present on the outside lock.
I also have the standard transmit unit which has an open collector input so con be connected to my Home Automation system. For example if the doorbell rings I can watch on my Philips Pronto TSU9600 who is there and I can, if I want open the door with a simple key press on the Pronto.
Nemef is almost finished with a 2 way transmit unit which can also see the status of the lock, I will install this on Bwired as soon as its available.

update: I just found out that the remotes (AB) also have a RFID chip inside.
So opening the door with the remote can be done by pushing the button on the remote or just hold the remote in front of the RFID reader.

I think it was during the latest Domotica day in Eindhoven that this price was mentioned.
But probably this price is without any additional accessories.

I would also be very interested to know how much a solution like this co$t$.

- Lock
- Remote
- RF reader
- Labor

Who could share some of this information?

DJ

PS. Regardless of the fact that you might not want it, but can this be integrated with homeseer? I would be thinking of monitoring (battery status, door status, lock status).

NEMEF is almost finished with a 2 way send/receive unit, I will receive this module, then you can also get the status of the lock.
I'm not sure about the specifications at this moment. But you can use this and also the current send unit to integrate in Homeseer.
The unit has a potential free contact as well which can unlock the lock. I can open my door with the Pronto if I want (working on that now)
No problem, if the Radaris receives a unlock and you do nothing the lock will close again after X seconds. I have set these values at 5 seconds for rfid and 10 seconds for remotes.

Nice is also that I have some very small rfid chips too which I can program to be used with the Radaris Evolution and put it in the back of my phone or watch. (I think, haven't tried this yet) :)

@Eric: read the first posting its all in there

I updated my Nemef Radaris Evolution with a RFID reader on the inside making it easier to go out (standard locked)
In and outside are seperate RFID readers with each its own ID, So the keyfobs (tags) need to be programmed for these reader separate.
Also its possible to see who coming in and going out etc.
