Or Ethernet, USB, Zigbee, RS232, IEEE 802.15.4, Bluetooth...
And for those who are into DIY (more or less) there are code samples available for download to control these boards.
Spend some time on a Homeseer Plugin and you've got the ingredients to create your own thing...
This site has been mentioned before on this forum, but it's always good to be reminded from time to time
