Hello,

Is it possible to connect a Glassfiber string to a IR led to transport the IR signal over about 1 meter?
So i can biuld my media center behind a wall and only drill a small holl for insert the glassfiber.

isn't it easier to just extend the cable that goes to the ir led?

yes, but i whant to let close the case of the mediacenter.
(so in order to the guarantee)

Guess the best option is to use a IR extender (like the one's from marmitek)
I don't think glass fibre will work (most IR led's are not that powerful) Are we talking about an IR receiver or sending LED here?
