Hi namefellow
I have some of the 'old' KaKu (Klik aan Klik uit) stuff, a remote control, wall switches/outlets and a doorbell. All of the 'old' KaKu stuff i can receive (parts wich are sending) with my RFXCom Receiver, with my RFXCom Transmitter i can switch (parts wich are receiving) the wall outlets and doorbel.
With the 'old' KaKu stuff i mean the previous line of products. This line has the possibility to setup a housecode (A..F) AND a device code (1..16). The 'new' line of KaKu stuff (the picture on the site of your url is showing the 'new' line) is somekind of autosensing/autolearning and has only a housecode setup, so i don't know if it's gonna work. Maybe Bert can tell you more about it, or you have to wait to upcomming weekend so i can test the 'new' type of outlet. (if you want me too offcourse)
I only can say at this moment.. the new line 's.c.s' big time

, it happens verry often that my light(s) are switched on by some neighbour? electrical power peak? noise on the powerlines? so... in my opinion: don't go there

Richard,
FWIW: I received a message today that a 'new' KAKU device i installed recently (see
http://www.domoticaforum.eu/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=485) is not functioning anymore...
Regards,
Robert.

I let you know it it works ok.
I;m also curious if the signals i send, can be received with the rfxcomm. Maybe over couple of months i can buy a rfxcomm
kind regards

Well Pieter it works ok. As well in Windows as in Linux with Lirc (Winlirc). I still have the components for a second one, so if you are interested.

Hi Richard,
Good to hear it works ok!
Yes I want to built one as well, so if you don't need the extra set yourself I surely want to take over.
Mail me offline please
Thanks Pieter

Hi!
I have also just built the device as described on the url above.
Also found here:
http://gathering.tweakers.net/forum/lis ... /1077675/0
Using Lirc on Linux i am now able to transmit and receive Kaku and X10 RF signals. In combination with some custom scripts (still developing) and my good old CM11 i can now combine X10 with Kaku and probably all those other cheap home control sets. There should be no difference, i think i can 'record' and 'play back' any signal on the 433,92 Mhz frequency.
I think a RFXCOM should also be able to pick up these signals, but if and how they are processed i don't know, that is why i built this.

Ik kwam nog een inkoopactie tegen die wel erg goedkoop is.

dus als er nog meer mensen willen knutselen ermee
