Some time ago my water company (vitens) has replaced my water meter and now i would like to know if it`s possible to read the usage of it.
This is the meter

Re: Reading Vitens Watermeter (Sensus 620)
Sorry, here the translation:
This water meter can be read by the RFXMeter with reflective sensor. Stick the sensor above the metal/red plastic wheel.
The RFXMeter is expected next month (proto version)
If you own an RFXMeter you can probably install an RFXPulse with reflective sensor.
To install the sensor:
clean the surface with alcohol, dry the surface using a hairdryer, stick the reflective sensor.
If the water meter is in a high humidity environment you can use special 2 sided tape (car supplies shop) And if necessary fix the sensor with a tie-wrap.

I have a meter like this.
Will you tell us, when the RFXMeter is available? (In English. )
Regards
Morten

Is it possible to be one of the beta testers for the RFXMeter ?

I will post a message in the RFXCOM Hardware forum as soon as the new RFXMeter proto is available
Re: Reading Vitens Watermeter (Sensus 620)
I never took the next step regarding the watermeter, but now i found this one. Which seems to be doable since i recently discovered Arduino / ESP8266

Re: Reading Vitens Watermeter (Sensus 620)
I restarted this project last week, but without much success so far. At first i tried to use ESPEASY as a pulse counter but the ESP Easy seems to be missing a lot of pulses. Since i`m no arduino guru i`m still strugeling to get soms sort of ino file working
I will try this one later on https://github.com/incmve/Sensus-waterm ... rmeter.ino
And already tried these one

https://ubidots.com/blog/build-a-people ... d-ubidots/
I`m using a NodeMCU and this sensor. The sensor connects the GPIO to ground when counting a pulse. I have ordered 3 of them (NPN Type). But one sensor is the PNP type which gives me 12 volt when counting a pulse. The pulse couting seems to be running fine, en the output seems to be a nice block (no ripple)
The PNP is also tested with this schema
I would like to have a sensor which will send the data using MQTT and HTTP Post for Domoticz
