I am using Phue (https://github.com/sqmk/Phue#readme), which simply allows one to use PHP to control Hue lights.

6 lamps and 2 bridges (zigbee but even wifi does not seem to reach completely through this house, hence double APs and double Hue bridges) in this place and 3 lamps with bridge in another one. Working quite fine Though one does seem to stick to a few variations of lighting and thus just turn them on/off. Cool thing with using Phue or any other such remote is that you can control it from any device/UI that you already have which is great.
