I've just setup a small flash application that will allow users to talk (audio) and see (video) each other (it's a project I needed to make for a customer)
The application will allow up to 4 users with video/audio at one time (I can add more if needed, but need to test this 1st)

As it's still in test, and as I would love to see how some Bwired users look like (and show them how I look :-) ), I have made the test site 'live' for users to test.

If you feel up to it, go to http://chat.kijk.info , and login with a user name, and click 'Submit'.
With a bit of luck you will get connected to the FMS.
Now if you have a webcam, (and if any video channel is still available) click on 'start'.
Depending on how your flash is setup, you should see your webcam feed, or get a warning from flash that it wants to connect to your webcam. If the last, you will need to give it access.
Also depending on the way flash is setup, you should be able to talk (voice). If all fails, you can still type things in the small window at the bottom of the flash application.

Please give it a test run, and let me know what you think. I'm also open to suggestions on how to make it better.

I will leave my webcam connected, but I might not be all the time behind the PC.

See you soon on http://chat.kijk.info

One more thing. I've just set the DNS for it. You might get a error that the page can not be found. In that case try again later as the DNS servers might need a bit more time.

Hi Wifi
Tested your flash videoserver and it working great
Audio is good and handling works great to.
I think the clients need some sort of USB webcam or a Videocard with a video input. I have like 6 camera's but al IP based.
would be a fun idea to place something like this on the forum main page :-)
I'm thinking about placing some HA related realtime gadgets there as well. for example livingroom and outside temperature of some members who have there stuff online. Create a webservice where they can connect to. That would make our forum geeky :-)
I move this topic to webcams...okido
Regards Pieter

Hi Wifi,
Can you tell something more about the flash videoserver and how to install, setting this up. I think playing realtime video with flash'(client) is much more efficient then playing it for example with Java like I do on www.bwired.nl. Thinking about replacing this with Flash but did not find enough info on the web back then. Do I really need a Flash videoserver (FMS) on Bwired for playing a stream on client side with flash or is there a way around?
