Hi all,
seen that i'm a complete linux n00b, i'd like to know if any of you has got the temper gold usb thermometer to work on a QNAP nas.

This is the device

I've seen many web pages talking about it and it seems that it can work with linux, but with some packages as requirements that i think qnap doesn't have by default..
So if anyone has it working, i'd relly appreciate a help :)

Thanks a lot
bye

I don't think the qnap will be the issue.. it will probably recognize the usb-device just fine. Getting the right software to work will be a bigger challenge, not because of the qnap but because you are like you say new to linux (or any kind of unix I'm guessing), you would have the same problem on a vanilla ubuntu box. It's not a question of simply downloading and running the "app".
