reed contact for gasmonitoring?

Hi,

As I don;t have a reflecting 6 on my gasmeter, I'm looking for something different. Here I have someone that does it with reedcontact??
Any idea of this work with standard dutch meters?

I doubt it. Is there a magnet moving around in standard dutch gas meters?
I think not. Maybe open it and have a look inside
