All regarding Plugwise

Post by y0ngg »

firstly, im actually looking for the prices of the following plugwise product :
1) Source (Software)
2) Stick (USB-stick)
3) Circle
4) Circle+

and secondly, also where can i purchase it? the http://www.plugwise.com/en/ webshop is not available therefore im unable to check the prices and the shipping fee.

thirdly, im wondering if there is any developing tools that i can use for plugwise products? im trying to monitor & control the power used by appliances/light. therefore im hoping that im able to control & monitor appliances/light through plugwise ;)

Thank you
Regards,
y0ngg

Hi y0ngg,

I just checked and the Plugwise site is working fine, but only if you look at the dutch version.

The prices and what's included can be found here. Although it's in dutch, the pictures and prices you should be able to read ;)

Home Basic kit
http://wshop.plugwise.com/nl/index.php? ... &Itemid=31

Home Start kit:
http://wshop.plugwise.com/nl/index.php? ... &Itemid=31

The one you're looking for is the 'Home Start Pakket' aka Home Start Kit.

I don't use Plugwise myself, but as far as I know there are no official developing tools available. There is however some stuff here on the forum that might allow you to do some DIY stuff. Check the Plugwise section for this.

That's China wifi ;-)

Y0ngg, wifi's one liner was intended as a joke. Copy the product and sell it for cheaper. (less R&D costs, less development costs, etc)

Once you mentioned that the Plugwise Sofware has a sort of API function. Is this API exposed for developers? Meaning can i call the functions in my own application I am developing?
