As far as i understand the best way to use the hub is with the control center of belkin and the driver of silex (sx-1000u).
In trying to do so i stumbled upon a few thing i can't figure out;
1. How to replace the driver. Nothing to be found in device mangement of windows?
2. Where to get the right driver. When i go to the site i only found the device server setup (http://www.silexeurope.com/en/home/supp ... 1000u.html) which does not have any drivers in the package.
Thanks

Remove the belking software/drivers under software in windows configuration screen and install the silex stuff ( you need both )
1st Device Server Setup
2nd SX Virtual Link ( like the belkin connect )
Hope it works for you, as i experienced the same problems like R.Klootwijk. Disconnects after a few mins and no automatic reconnecting.
Could be the firmware that needs to be upgraded to make the driver work properly.

Here the Belkin works fine to with the basic software. I got my rfxcom transmitter and reciever, irtrans, plc and bluetooth working with out problems.
Personaly i got problems when i connect a mimo740, it works for a xx period but then looses connection. Thats my reason why i tried..

@r_255. Ok will do but someone made the remark that the controlcenter of belkin was very good and that only the drivers had to be replaced (cannot find the post so quickly) but as i understand now that is not possible.

Well then it most likely that the drivers are installed at the 1st donwload link ( silex link you mentioned ) if they are drivers... ?
to me it looks like a kind of server software that re routes usb>ip traffic and visa versa.
I did not mix and match belkin connect center and sillex device server. So there might lay a possibility

I have the Belkin Network USB hub running in Windows 2003 server. I'm not using the Belkin software at all. You can control the network hub completely with the above SX-1000u driver. This is not possible with the Belkin sofware.

1) What is the difference between the Silex and the Belkin ?
2) Is the device driver running as a service (my homeseer is and I almost never logon)

I think they do the same, but the belkin software is not running on W2k3.
The Silex software looks more efficient and smaller. I'm not running it as a service, so can't tell.
