Cable length from AD10 to momentairy switch

Post by Droezel »

Hello,

We're installing AD10 modules in our wiring closet. Most of them work fine, but one is giving troubles. When we connect a short cable (2 meters) to the momentairy switch everything works fine. But when the cable grows longer (10+ meters), the AD10 module doesn't respond any more.

We've replaced the cables, unplugged all electrical equipment but it's still not working with the longer cable. Any ideas?

The AD-10 module works perfect with x10 commands, only the attached switch in the wall does not work when the cable becomes too long. We'll be trying other cabling and see what the result is. A lot of work because all cabling is in place already...

Just an update: Changing cables did the trick, all AD-10 modules are now working with the inwall switches.
