Sorry to reply to a Dutch topic in English, but my Dutch is not as good as it could be [:)] Perhaps Enver or Pieter will translate for any non-English speaking members.

Version 1.0.0.20 is now available and this should fix all the issues relating to house codes and date conversions errors experienced by some users.

The plug-in is and always will be free. The activation is just so I can see hown many users there are. The plug-in does not collect any data from your system and no personal details are needed for activation, just the serial number.

There have been a few reports of the plug-in causing instability in Homeseer. This does not happen on my system, nor on many others. I am curretnly investigatiing the possibility that this issue is related to the use of garbage collection utilites or scripts in Homeseer. I have asked the authors of 2 such utilities for some further information on this subject so that I can investigate further.

Zebrafilm has identified a problem where the aspx config pages will not work if the Jon00 Accout Links plug-in is installed. I have asked Jon00 for some help on this so I can determine what the problem is and get it fixed. I have also asked Zebrafilm to try some diagnostic tests relating to this problem.

Thanks for letting me know.

I'm not 100% sure that it is the plug-in causing the issues reported by some users because many people do not have a problem with it. Maybe it is just making an existing problem worse. I know 1 UK user had the same problem before he installed the plug-in.

It seems to be more of an issue on systems running Homeseer in a VM or those using garbage collection utilities. I looks like it may be related to memory being optimised, although I can't quite see why the plug-in would cause problems in this area.

My system is not on a VM, I don't use GC utilities and it runs fine easily for 3 weeks+ without re-starting Homeseer. The PC has not been re-booted for at least 2 months.

I'm sure the issue will be identified and fixed soon.

Hi Paul,

My system is running on VMWare Server 2.0 and is working without any problem at all. In my case there is no problem with your plug-in!

Dick,
If you have no swapping on your machine all will run fine.
I have disabled swapping and stopped some test machines. No problems in the last 24 hours..

I had a look at the topic and can tell you that my system is also using memory swapping. I am running:

VWMWare server on WinXP Pro host PC
- VM for Windows Home Server
- VM for Homerseer
- VM for Plugwise

Thanks for commenting Dick,

I have a thought (I may be wrong) that the use of utilities that reset the .net garbage collector or optimise memory may cause problems with some Homeseer plug-ins.

The problem with Homeseer is that it is not possible to see which, if any plug-ins are causing problems unless you enable them one at a time.

I have read a lot about the .net garbage collector and it is the opinion of many experienced developers that it should be left alone and not manually reset. Others argue that it needs to be reset manually.

Perhaps some of the more experienced coders here could make comment on this.

It looks like it's got al the benefits I'am looking for.

Or......... maybe Paul is still reading this topic?

Sorry heb de download locatie zo even niet beschikbaar.
versie 0.45 is de laatste die ik gebruik.
Problemen rondom .net memory bug zijn nog niet opgelost maar heb zelf geen last meer van.
