Harrison manual control

Post by mories »

Hi All,

I am about to order a harrison rail.
I would like to know how the harrison curtain rails works. The width of the curtains is almost 5 meters. They should open from the middle.

What kind of commands does the rail receive ? Is it just open or close, or is it more advanced. I am using Homeseer and RFxcom.
I created a curtain device, and I see two buttons on the status screen on and off. Are these the command for open and close.

Can the curtains be manually operated ? Like open and close them by hand.

Thanks.

Harrison manual control

My longest curtain is 4.8 mtr and runs smooth.
It comes with a small manual remote that can open, close and stop in th middle. I have also made KaKu switches on the wall for easier manual control.
My RFXCOM system can open and close, no option to stop in the middle but that is not needed. I use it to automate the opening and closing and so far it works fine.
One thing to consider is a more efficient power adapter, see the other threads.
