AWM2 connectivity

Post by nukenine »

I'm installing a bunch of AWM2, sofar going perfect.
Now, I ran into a light switch that only has phase and one load, and is not a switch (wisselschakelaar). This means I can connect the RED and BLUE wires, but not the BROWN coming off the AWM2.
Will the AWM2 still work? Or do I need a switch (wisselschakelaar) to make the AWM2 do 2-way coms?

Thanks for any responses!

what happens is the switch on your wall is actually a loop to the lights. both wires are actually live.. just one incoming and other outgoing to the light.. you need to lay a neutral wire to the switch. and unfortunately there isnt 2 way about doing this.

what i did was i lay a neutral wire and put a scene controller there instead. and put the AWM2 at the light itself. that way the modules would have a "status update" where the server would know if the light is on/off.
