Custom Infrared Codes

Post by Cariba »

I have a WinLIRC (IR Receiver) compatible device attached to my PC.

Now I want to generate custom IR command with a small amount (e.g. device address) of data embedded in the IR signal to be received by the PC.

Anyone got any suggestions on encoding (for instance) a value of 0x8038BDF5 to an IR signal. I would need a Pronto Hex code as a result value.

Does anyone has some suggestions on how to accomplish this?

Yeah I already looked at that page but I couldn't find what I was looking for. I might end up coding something myself or using existing codes for a different purpose...
