Control X10 via GSM network

Post by nik_nak94547 »

Hi there,

I'm looking for a device that allow me to control X10 using GSM network. Do you know such a GSM comunicator where to put a sim card and after call to switch on/off few X10 modules. I found on the net SC9000 console but it require landline. Unfortunatlly I don't have in my place.

Thanks for your advice,

You need a device which emulates the line. You should use some GSM gateway. It allows phone calls in GSM network to be received with the connected to the device phone. There is a good kit here: http://x10modules.com/shop/product_info ... cts_id=109

Paul

It can have a GSM800 module. You can switch X-10 with it by calling the unit and pushing your phone buttons, or you can do it by sending SMS commands.
