Replacing an RFXMeter sensor - keeping the same address?

Post by DJF3 »

Hi,

I had an RFXMeter with 2x RFXPwr and 1x RFXPulse.
One of the RFXPower sensors has been replaced by an RFXPulse.

- The 'new' RFXPulse now has the same 'address' as the old RFXPower module, is that Ok?

This new RFXPulse module is used to monitor water. This works fine. I have changed the RFX configuration to "RFXWater" and changed the 'divide by' from 1000 to 1.

To monitor the daily water usage I would like to add a Virtual device.

- I cannot see the DWAT[xxx]d device when adding a virtual device in the RFXCOM HS plugin (version 13.x). Do I need to do something specific? (or any tips?)

UPDATE: The new 'water' items are still stored in the Power table of the RFXCOM database. That means that even though I renamed the device to "RFXWater" it's not detected as a Water device. Screenshot:

Thanks!

The Device Name must be RFXWater.

The addresses are linked to the module number in the RFXMeter device and the base address set in the RFXMeter is assigned to module 0.
