is it possible to control velux "dakramen" with rfxcomm

Post by Edwin2008 »

I have two Velux "dakramen" which are controlled electrically via a remote. Is it possible to replace the remote with rfxcomm or supplement the remote.
At this time the windows shut automatically when it starts raining but i also would like to open them when it gets to hot and partially close them when wind is picking up.

When you have a spare remote, you could use the ippower mod like Chak has shown in one of the other posts and control the windows using the 'buttons' of the remote itself. Main problem I always found with the Velux solution is they can be closed by rain, but never return to the previous position when the rain stops. By connecting them to Domotica you overcome this problem. Just add a window contact and see when they close and use a rain sensor to tell the system when it's raining.

Regards, Maarten.

Ive had that problem too, you'll have to use the Velux KUX-100, a Velux KLF-100 and some other module that gives open/closed contact like the KAKU SUN-500 wich is controllable by RFXCom.

When you have the older motor of Velux, you can use IRDA
