High resolution PTZ Camera

Post by Quart »

I am looking for a High resolution PTZ Camera.
It shall take approx 3 photos a day on a construction site we have.
At the end I will put all pics togheter and make a "movie" on the build of this house.

Budget is approx 1000-1500 Euros

Hi welcome to the forum,

With a budget like that have a look at Mobotix and Axis cameras.

Mobotix:
http://www.mobotix.com

Axis:
http://www.axis.com

Depending on if it needs to be watertight or not, prices go up or down. The same goes for what you define as 'high resolution'. For some quality and resolution examples have a look in this thread:
http://www.domoticaforum.eu/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=2482

PS: Why does it need to be PTZ if you're only gonna take 3 images a day? Or are these 3 images each from a different angles?

Ciao,
Esteban

Thanks for your answers.
The camera will be mounted outside on a roof on a 5 floor buildng.
So the only protection I need is from rain, cold, heat etc
Regarding HiRes so I wolud like at least 1280 x 1024

Go for Axis, we use them a lot at customer site's. Reliable and good quality cam's for in- and outside use. Supported by all kinds of software packages.
