i think the field commander was mentioned some time before too. With only 2 / 3 watts maybe its nice as a toy in the car

It sure is a nice device and more open then the Home Control Box. Hope the developer can tell some more about the price, he is a member of this Forum (littlebit) [:)]

That is a completely different device.
Differences:
- hardware: ELS1700 has VGA output; USB; analog in/out
- software: no FieldCommander toolsoftware
but Embedded Linux Server(Debian) configuration with
Apache, MySQL and PHP.
I think it is a nice platform for projects
like an opensource home automation project.

No converter; no heatsink required.

Ah, so 90.000 euro's? Any price indication would create some shoppers, if the price is right.

Is there anybody who took on the offer of Littlebit and has a free fieldcommander FC2700 for testing purpose in use.

If they can deliver the device with embedded windows XP that will be nice

Maybe something cheaper for Domotica, with web server and 2 serial ports.
