Anyone knows an answer to these:
- Does Ziggo still support the humax (with exeption to the interative tv part)?
- Are there solid rumours for a successor to the humax 5050c?
Finally decided to switch to Ziggo internet and also to digital TV but non of the offered receivers are having pvr functionality
Humax iHDR5050-C (HD-PVR) & Ziggo & opvolger

I think this one is Ziggo certified.
I also will make the change at the end of the month but alos did not take the interactive receiver because of lacking PVR...

Thanks, so the humax is still supported. Just before the post i stumbled over the compatibility list.
Stil the q is there a successor to be expected in a short time frame?

I don't think there will be one on a short term. see also http://ziggo-gebruikers.nl/forum/forumdisplay.php?f=203

Just bought one (i have ziggo too) it works fine, but hdmi handshaking is a bit odd some, can tend to give you green screens (make sure your tv has latest firmward for hdmi hdcp or some crap like that) say on the faq of humax too..
ow and a big miss in my eyes.. no discrete IR codes for on/off.. and louzy boot up times. (or am i doing it wrong...?)

Might have something 2 do with the cable as well, @work we support HDMI-devices as well. Most problems concerning image-quality have to with old-standard cables(pre 1.3) and samsung TV's having trouble with the HDCP-handshake.Snelvuur wrote:Just bought one (i have ziggo too) it works fine, but hdmi handshaking is a bit odd some, can tend to give you green screens (make sure your tv has latest firmward for hdmi hdcp or some crap like that) say on the faq of humax too..
