Xandra Modules & Solar PV setup

Post by gazdude67 »

Hi All,

Just registered, been reading for quite some time 1+ year, I am from Australia "land under".

Firstly a little background on our HA system:

We have virtually our whole house done with various Xanura Modules mainly SAIX12, last count it was 20, Also have some Ulitec Micro modules (12 on Power outlets) purchased from Beijing, I believe this company has no closed down??
We have a Rain 8 watering system and a Windows Home server running mControl Plugin for HA control. All our garden lighting is under the HA as well.
We have some Curtain Controllers as well ready to install, and a Weather station on the roof back to the Server.

All our lighting is the Compact Floro type, as our home is only 2 1/2 years old and it is a requirement of the Federal Australian Government now for clean & green lighting. We have installed 5A Filter micro Modules on all the lights from Kevin Lo # 4813E. As We have quite a bit of electronic gear I have also fitted FM10G plug in Filters to all our equipment, also with 3 FD10 Phase couplers and a A10 repeater in the Breaker Box in the garage to connect our 3 phase power.

Our system was running perfectly, no drop outs from unanswered signals etc, until we had a Solar PV grid tie system installed a few weeks ago, now during the daylight hours the Solar system seems to be blocking out all the A10 signals that are sent with 100% loss. :(

We have had our electrician back and tried several things:
Purchased a AF300 and a AF310 low pass filter from Advanced Control Technologies, INC, neither of these made any difference to the problem. David my Electrician also rerouted the input of the solar through one of the FD10 filters as well, this did not make any difference either. :(

Is there something I am missing??, has Anyone had the same problem??, I have trawled the internet for nearly a week now but I can not find any answers.
It's very frustrating, As if I turn the solar system off, the A10 system works again perfectly, and the WAF factor is on a down ward slope now :( .

Can anyone shed any light on my problem??

Thanks in Advance.

The only thing that springs into my mind is to try a different power inverter for your PV system.

Hi, Thanks for the reply, but a different inverter would be out of the question, as they come in the "kit". And as the Australian Government paid for 75% of the system it would be a no show. I have been to my local Jaycar Electronics store and they have suggested that my Ground Earth may be not "earthed" as good as it should??, i'll have a look on the weekend and see if that's the problem.
