New Energy Saving Z-Wave Thermostat from Danfoss
Re: New Energy Saving Z-Wave Thermostat from Danfoss
You find information at:
http://fussbodenheizung.danfoss.com/Con ... IT326.html
This system is the first time Danfoss used Zwave. It is a closed system and the unit show up as "unknown device" in some software and not at all in other.
There is a remote control unit (CF RC) which let you controle and set al the various thermostats in the house and can program timesettings for vacations or so. It is a very nice system but it is not possible to include this in any domotica gateway.
I have had intensive contact with the development manager (as early as 2006) but so far no luck.
I'm still looking for a way to record the signals send out by the RC so can try to play them back by PC (see http://www.domoticaforum.eu/viewtopic.p ... 309#p43309)

heubie: I would think this is a new development from the previous devices (http://www.tane.nl/wp/?p=7), which is open to me?

April is not a good time for introducing new thermostat.

i wonder if they will send out there current temperature too. then you also have a nice temperature readout of the room (but highly unlikely)

For that part you can use ST814
ST814 can also trigger the danfoss to turn on (Setback off)

would be nice if it was included etc.. 70 euro's for temperature compared to oregon sensors... not that you actually really need temperature readings in every room.

Also, I don't think that taking a temperature reading that close to the radiator would acurately reflect the actual room temperature.

hmm yes you got a point there, i had a "temperature watch" when i was young.. looked "cool" but didn't really work.

April 2011 has arrived ... status update?
Anybody already has confirmation that this system is "open"? (as previous posts state it's a closed system)
