Roomba to buy or not to buy?
Re: Roomba to buy or not to buy?
Your question should be "Why do you want a roomba?". It's the same question for domotica. But you know that

Why do I need a Roomba?
It should make life easier and take less time to clean the house. I suppose that it’s no absolute need but a wannahave. My only concern is that it really works and it’s not necessary that I also use the normal vacuum cleaner.
What about:
Noise level?
Frequency of emptying dustbin?
Maintenance level (how often to clean e.g. brushes)?
How much time does it take to clean 45m2?

Run the Roomba at night, does not matter how long it takes to do (between 1 a 2 hours according plugwise)
I cant hear the noise upstairs, but sometimes we hear the noise of bumping (sounds like a burglar)
Yes I dont like to empy the basket, to small in my system (like after 3, 4 times cleaning)
New Roomba's are having bigger waste basket (or 2?)
Clean all the hairs between the wheels

I'm running the roomba for 2 years now and had to replace the battery, nothing else sofar.

Nice thing about the roomba is, you think your floor is clean, but the the Roomba takes a lot of dust anyway.
I also have a cleaning lady once a week and she loves the roomba too

still very happy with my roomba
Would like to connect it to the Jeenode.......

What i'm happy about is indeed the dust. With a normal vacuum cleaner the dust will spread around the room because of the airflow. That isn't the case with the Roomba.

You still need to use a normal vacuum cleaner from time to time but far lessit’s not necessary that I also use the normal vacuum cleaner.
A roomba can't get everwhere.
Acceptable but you can't have a normal conversation next to itWhat about:
Noise level?
Tile floor, no petsFrequency of emptying dustbin?
I'll do it after every 2 runs
I clean the roomba every 2 months and when emptying the dushbin i olso move my fingers over the charging contacts.Maintenance level (how often to clean e.g. brushes)?
Just a habbit
About 1h30m to 2 hoursHow much time does it take to clean 45m2?
It does the bathroom, utility room, kitchen, living room and the hall.
I leave all doors open and let it wander around
