HSM100 3 in 1 running on power supply

I remember that somebody on this forum had its 3in1 running on a power supply. Not to long ago i've tried to solder a power supply to mine on the battery leads, but that didnot work. I am running mine outside and i am a little fed up with replacing the batteries so often. So i would really like to have mine running from a power supply. Could that somebody shoot some pictures how he wired up the 3in1. I have probably done something stupid, but just soldering on the battery leads did not work.
