Orgeon UV138 problem

I have an Oregon UV138, but it only reports level 0, no matter what kind of weather it is.

Replaced batteries and have reset it with the reset button several times, but still no change, anyone has an idea or similar experience?

there needs to be sun (duh) and it should be mounted "outside" if its behind a window, it will never show uv levels since windows block uv.

test with an EEPROM UV eraser.

Of course it's placed on my garden fence outside, and there was sun, at least for level 1, but no go... I had an eeprom eraser, but what do you know, I ditched it last weekend [V]

Time to get my toolkit and open the case I guess...
