I'm ready to install my RFXpulse sensor in order to monitor my gas usage.
I know I've to position this in such a way that it points to the reflective digit 6, but right now it just fails to detect the little mirror that is part of the digit 6 (not even a single detection).
Reading the manual there are two adjustments:
P1: Make the sensor more sensitive
P2: Higher LED voltage.
What is the most efficient way of adjusting, 1st increase the sensitivity or start with the LED voltage?
I'm also a bit concerned if the mirror is still reflective enough.

Try first with a white paper at a distance of about 1 cm from the sensor. The LED on the RFXPulse must be on at that distance. If not adjust the LED voltage P2 to maximum, then turn P1 until the RFXPulse LED switches On.

Thanks Bert,
This surely helps a lot. It might be an idea to put this kind of procedure in the next revision of the documentation.
I also noticed that my debounce jumpers were not set at the default debounce time as documented in the manual, might be an idea to either change the manual, or check the units before shipping since it seems that I'm not the only one.
