Infrared camera pictures

Friends,

I made some infrared pictures from equipment in my house.
I used a FLIR i5 infrared camera (supplier conrad).
Hope you enjoy these pictures.

This is a very interesting instrument. I am in the market for one of these for years, but they are still priced above my toys-budget and I don't have any professional application for it that justifies the costs. But again; Very nice. And you got the right brand too

@edwin: you should copy the conrad link it shows you in the page, otherwise the links from conrad dont work (really annoying from conrad)

Guys, it's really not that hard; If you're curious, just go to http://www.conrad.nl, type FLIR i5 in the search field and press the 'zoeken'-button. It costs 3k (yes, Euros) and it shoots 80x80 pixel pictures. Only a couple of years ago these camera's used to cost 10-fold that amount and required you to cool the imager using TEMs and liquid nitrogen. Thanks to the micro bolometer imager these new devices are now compact and 'affordable'.

And if you're clever, you'll hire the proud owner of this instrument to image your house this winter to see where you can use some additional insulation.

But seriously; Perhaps the owner of this nice piece of equipment is willing to post a couple of thermal images of a couple of Xanura modules? It will help the guys in this thread http://www.domoticaforum.eu/topic.asp?w ... 3680#27390 to find the components running hot and possibly causing the modules to break down after some time....

Sorry for bumping this old thread up again.

One of my new hobbies is making snow (with compressed air, and high pressure water).
The "guns" that I have make use of one nucleating nozzle, and three misting nozzles.

I would like to do some fine-tuning on the nucleating nozzle (bigger nucleation = more efficient).
As at the moment it's way to warm to make snow, and as I would like to be ready when the conditions are okay, I would like to do some testing 1st.

HKD Snowmakers (snowmakers.com) has cited that a nucleator nozzle at 8.6 BAR with 0C air temperature will produce an air temperature of -40C when exiting the nozzle!
I'm not expecting this much of a difference with my setup as I only have just over 6 BAR.

My quextion now is: Would an Infrared camera be able to see the nucleation in action?
If so, it would be a great tool to do some fine tuning.
