So far i thought all sunscreen 230V motors has a common lead and one up and one down lead - the motor would stop by two end contacts ....but it sounds interesting a 230V stepping motor (likely operating on DC) - in that case you will need a kind of controller including a counting mechanisme. No need for end contacts ...... likely a black box with two switching contacts up and down .....so you may need the special Zwave sunscreen controller with two sets of potential contacts and common used by low voltage screens.

Sun screen with zwave
Re: Sun screen with zwave
Duwi interface can also control low voltage devices.
There is a extra interface on the Duwi for this.
Most of the outside screens are 220v
Blinds (luxaflex) are mostly 12 volt or batterie powered.
There is also a zwave module from Hunter Douglas that can be used for low voltage.

Some experience from a colleague with the Duewi 064367 and his 3 posibilities for installation:
1. Continue 230 V
2. Other voltage like 12 - 28 V; direct to motorcontrol
3. other voltage for impuls connection.
The sunscreen Verano with a somfy motor SLT Mariner40/17R has to be connected with a impuls connection (option 3).
The sunscreen motor will stops at the end when you use the impuls connection. A interim stop is possible bij hand switch, but not from pc or iphone.
The Duewi 064367 is easy to read in homeseer.
The new sunscreen Picca from Somfy needs a continue 230V connection. This must also be possible with the Duewi 064367. I have no experience with this, but the expert from picca sunscreens told me.
Or other suncreens/zwave switches has the same or more possibilities, I don't know till now.

You can change the config of the Duwi screen control.
This will make possibile to have always 220v (or any other voltage) on the screen output
I don't know how to do that with Homeseer.
How to do that on the Vera is described here.

Re: Sun screen with zwave
After having contact with someone from Merten I bought the 576398 relais.
In the picture attached the current relais is displayed (a LG 2119).
In my current setup there is however no distinction between the power connection and the switch. The Merten relais however (if I understand correctly) has one connection for the power and one for the switch. Does anybody know how to connect these?
