Detecting WST-8800 and sending to ACM-1000 problem

Post by AshaiRey »

Hello,

I have a problem with the following setup.

I have a switch type WST-8800 with code K3. This switch isn't detected by RFXCom. How can i add this one?
This switch operates a ACM-1000 module that will get it's code automatically. Now i would expect that the send code would be K3 send by the switch and that will trigger the ACM-1000. If i setup an output decive as follow

If i then try to switch it in the device window it will not work.

There is a second problem but this one is the reverse of the previous one.

I have also a AWST-8800 double switch. This one is detected by RFXCom as seen below

This double switch operates also a ACM-1000 but i can't figure out which code this switch transmits. If i use the RFceiver.exe program nothing shows up in both occasions.

Please advice.

Please note:
All is working by operating the switches manually but i can get them working in HS + RFXCom

Thanks,
Bram

Detecting WST-8800 and sending to ACM-1000 problem

KAKU devices with an order code that starts with an A are Automatic Code devices. These devices use the AC protocol and are only received if the AC protocol is enabled in the receiver.

Devices without the A for example the WST8800 use the ARC protocol. These devices have address wheels and the house code selected on the device must be set to Status Only on the RFXCOM - X10 config page.
Then add an X10 device on the HS status page having the house and device code of this WST8800.

I am aware of this.

The AWST-8800 switch is detected by RFXCom so that's oke. But this swith operates an ACM-1000 to turn on the light. I want to operate the ACM-1000 independidly from the switch (via HS) so i need to know at which code it will respond. The ACM-1000 is at a location that isn't easy to reach anymore. [:D]

This is how i set it up via Add Device.
However the ACM-1000 isn't responding.

You have to create an AC MODULE for the ACM1000. Then pair the ACM1000 with this HS device by pressing the program button on the ACM1000 and press On at the HS device. (there is no other way)

(your name sounds very Dutch. You can use the Dutch Homeseer forum for config questions)

[Dutch mode ON]
Hoi Bert,

If i press the progrtam button on the ACM-1000 then i will loose the setting it had with the AWST-8800, right? That is not what i want to happen in this case.

Otherwise it means that i have to de-montage a part of my bathroom to reach the ACM-1000 module.... [V]

It's something to keep in mind in the future

I will round this thread here for information sake. New questions (if any) will be ask on the Dutch homeseer forum.

Detecting WST-8800 and sending to ACM-1000 problem

The ACM1000 can have up to 6 remotes configured. The HS device is seen as 1 remote.

If you press the program button on the ACM1000 for about 10 seconds it will reset the ACM1000 and remove all remotes.
Press the program button shortly than:
with an on command on a remote you add the remote to the ACM1000,
with an off command you remove the remote from the ACM1000.
